OUR VALUES

At North44Rovers, everything we build starts with intention. From the vehicles we restore to the people we work alongside, purpose drives every decision we make. Supporting the Naples Children’s Foundation grew naturally from those values. As a company rooted in community, we wanted to support an organization that creates real, lasting change for children and families where we live and work. The Foundation’s commitment to care, opportunity, and impact resonated deeply with us, and we felt strongly that this was a cause worthy of our time, effort, and support.

Giving back has become an essential part of who we are as North44Rovers continues to grow. What began as a local commitment has expanded into a broader charitable effort across North America, including partnerships with organizations such as Stash the Therapy Horse and other community-focused initiatives. These relationships allow us to use our success to support causes that bring comfort, healing, and hope—extending our reach far beyond the vehicles we build.

Our mission as a company stands alongside these efforts, but remains distinct. North44Rovers exists to preserve craftsmanship and invest in people. We are committed to creating and sustaining skilled jobs for adults in handcraft trades—interior craftsmanship, fabrication, restoration, and manual labor. In an industry increasingly driven by mass production, we choose custom, authentic work that honors human skill, patience, and pride. These crafts are timeless, and when done with care, they hold lasting value.

By choosing to support the Naples Children’s Foundation and expanding our charitable footprint, North44Rovers aims to reflect the same care and dedication in our community as we do in every build—proving that meaningful work can make a meaningful difference.

THE VISION

Before any build begins, the North44 Rover Defender drawings serve as the foundation—a curated collection of ideas and inspirations that lets the team see the vision clearly. Each drawing is more than a sketch; it’s a tool for thinking through possibilities, testing concepts, and aligning the design vision before a single part is touched or welded.

The process is creative and complex. Designers layer ideas, explore proportions, and experiment with details, blending heritage with innovation. Every line, angle, and silhouette is considered in the context of the finished vehicle: How will it look, move, and feel? How will materials, finishes, and functional elements come together? These drawings allow the team to visualize the Defender as a whole, anticipate challenges, and refine the concept iteratively.

In this sense, the drawings are a map of the imagination. They capture abstract ideas, merge them with technical possibilities, and make the vision tangible. Only once the Defender’s character is fully understood and articulated on paper does the build begin—ensuring that every element of the final vehicle reflects the thought, care, and creativity embedded in the drawings.

NORTH44ROVER DEFENDER 90

Finished in Ivory Atelier White—a bespoke ivory-toned white with warmth and depth—this 1991 Defender 90 has been fully restored to the last bolt, reimagined with reverence for heritage and engineered for a lifetime ahead.

AT ITS HEART

A rebuilt 300Tdi engine, meticulously assembled to deliver the

character you expect with the reliability you demand. Every mechanical system has been

renewed, refined, and re-engineered for durability—creating a Defender that is safer, more

dependable, and markedly more comfortable than any traditional example.

SANCTUARY

The cabin is entirely hand-built, wrapped in Tuscan Orange Leather—elegant, warm, and

unmistakably refined. Seating is sculpted with custom foams, offering long-distance comfort

while maintaining the upright, purposeful posture that defines the Defender experience. A

custom-made dash preserves the authentic Land Rover aesthetic—clean, honest, and

tactile—eschewing excess while elevating craftsmanship.

Beneath your feet, custom metal gusset floors are fabricated for strength and longevity, a subtle

nod to industrial beauty. In the rear, a historic Defender tub has been carefully saved—soda

blasted, repaired, fabricated, and restored—honoring its provenance while ensuring structural

integrity for decades to come.

A centerpiece of quiet indulgence awaits aft: a custom olive wood top, crafted for wine glasses

and accessories, designed specifically for the Naples Wine Festival. The olive wood—sourced

from Italy—brings organic warmth and story to the vehicle, marrying European craftsmanship

with utilitarian British form.

For changing skies, a bespoke canopy is included. Yet this Defender reveals its truest beauty

without a roof—open, elemental, and striking. The fold-down windshield completes the authentic

experience, inviting the road, the air, and the horizon inside.
